Responsible for outreach to the SBE/DBE community as part of the construction of this $260 million stadium.

Metro Solutions, Program Advisor, Houston, Texas
Approved Program Advisor, Metro Solutions Project.

Houston Community College System, Houston, Texas
Oversees the HCC system-wide internship and mentor/protégé program for their $180M CIP. She served on Houston’s Community E-Center. Ms. Becerra was responsible for the development of small business incubators through a HUD grant.

San Jacinto Community College, Houston, Texas
Ms. Becerra worked with corporations to help them understand the value internships have for organizations as well as the students. Her efforts led to a 100% retention rate of employers participating in internship programs.

Charter School Movement for the State of Texas
Ms. Becerra was the driving force behind the development of the Charter School movement, testifying before the local school district and the Texas Education Agency. Her testimony included an overview and review of the benefits of the Charter School movement.

George I. Sanchez High School - Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans, Houston, Texas
Ms. Becerra developed bonding opportunities to build a gym, library, cafeteria, and computer labs with additional classrooms. This led to the development of a charter school with a magnet/vanguard environment; she also helped develop working partnerships for the school with the Houston Technology Center, Compaq and Cisco. Students were given an opportunity to not only learn Information Technology but to also to be mentored by some of the brightest minds in this field.

Raul Yzaguirre School for Success, Houston, Texas
Ms. Becerra developed bonding opportunities to build a charter school where she is currently developing a Bio-NanoTechnology Institute for the students. She helped develop partnerships for small non-profit businesses and educational institutions, and is responsible for creating a $35 million dollar master plan for the school.
